When it’s your turn, shine bright. My niece Lauren Brown (IG: @raggedyroyal) is running for Howard University Miss School of Business and tonight I was the #ProudUncle watching Lauren shine bright in a sea of very talented students. First it takes courage as a Sophomore to run for office. Secondly you have to really know who you are before you start competing as this type of competition is not for the faint at heart. Here is the lesson I learned from my niece: When it’s your turn, shine bright. At the focal point of the pageant, each contestant had a chance to show why they deserved the honor. They walked, answered questions and show cased their overall talent. Admittedly I am a bias Uncle – but the difference was Lauren’s shine. Life responds to individuals who have the guts to be their most authentic self in every situation. Every phase Lauren was Lauren. My message to you is — when it’s your turn, shine bright. Shine bright in your personal life when no one is watching, shine bright in your relationships so people know you care, shine bright in your community by making a difference for others — simply show up and shine bright because this is your time and today is your January 1st #YouGotThis Forever and always #TheHappyEntrepreneur “StayConsistentToday – The best days of your life are coming.” www.HappyEntrepreneursTribe.com #HappyEntrepreneurShow #TodayIsMyJanuary1st
